Driver Manufacture has come a long way in the past few years, with most of the big names and market leaders spending plenty of money and time on research and development to enable them to provide golfers with the best golf drivers possible.

Know How to Punch the Driving Golf Shot Regularly
Posted by: | Comments
The fairway metal wood penetrating shot is a shot similar with the Americas number one, competitor who easily exceeds the 285 metre limit with a 3 wood all the time Its a very impressive shot that, when carried out accurately, is a great change to the no 1 wood if the metal woods proving to be difficult! Of greater importance however, he nearly always finishes in the middle of the course with a boring shot because it delivers more accuracy.
You will be more in control and the ball flight path the shot gets is both long and straight and gets run on the short stuff. Quite often there are many occasions to have this shot in your range of shots. The very small difference to your posture and swing it demands are well worth it as shown below:
Tee the ball lower and taking aim to the left of the middle of the fairway – pressing the tee down lower, take your fairway metal wood and position the golf ball in the centre of your address with your body weight a little more on your left side. As well as this you should also aim a bit left as the position of the ball makes the fairway wood hit into the ball a little earlier, so the club-face will be to a certain degree facing open
Take the Grip more down the stick – as this will give you much greater command over the golf swing. Although do not forget and retain your grip stable but not stiff,at say no 5on a range of no 10 where 10 is very intense. Relieve the muscular power in your forearms and fingers to acquire the benefit of a good controlled golf back and through swing.
In addition do not forget to remember and not tense up, not merely on this shot but on each golf shot.
Retain your body weight in the central point – Your body weight ought to remain in the central point in the through swing. Do not shift it onto your rear heel. Holding off your body weight transfer will permit you to keep on top of the ball in your golf swing, totally smashing it when it comes to collision. This set up will mean a more upright angle of approach to deliver that lesser, more boring shot which we are targeting to acquire.
Establish your club position – at the point of, the shaft of your golf club should get the forward slope it had at the start. Produce this by retaining the hands a slightly forward of the golf club head as you crash into the ball. This removes the angle off the club face, sending the golf ball on a lesser more piercing trajectory.
Hold off the up swing- holding off your up swing is a desirable setting to aim for when playing this sort of stroke. This is as you are refraining the club to fully release, owing to the club angle you used to get the lower penetrating shot.
Incidentally you will not get the same distance as a clear strike fairway wood, although this kind of shot will only be a little way behind. Significantly though, you will arrive at the middle of the course a lot more regularly and in complete condition to go for the flag with your next shot. Try this on the practice range first and build up your knowledge experience with this shot; you will be delighted how successful it is.
Your Golf Body Might Not Be Up To The Golf You Want To Play
Posted by: | CommentsYour golf body is the key to your golf swing and golf game. Most golfers have never considered that their body is working against them and letting them down on the golf course.
Golf is as athletic a sport as football, soccer, baseball or hockey. Think for a moment that you are engaged in forty or more high impact explosive shots on a golf course over four to five hours in all sorts of weather conditions. In weight lifting the same level of exertion in as little as four lifts can create total exhaustion.
Add to that you typically walk up to eight miles on an 18 hole golf course. Some people more than others if you are hitting all over the place. The more frustration and other emotions you experience the more energy you use.
Want to add some more stress to your body? You are not properly hydrated that is not drinking enough water before, during and after a round.
Most golfers rush to the golf course have a quick practice and then rush onto the first-tee and straight into their golf game without any warm up. Muscles are tight and your joints are tight too. You may even have back pain, lack muscle flexibility and anything from mild to severe joint restrictions.
It could be in your hips, lower back, shoulders, wrists, elbows, ankles, or hamstrings.
More than half of all golfers suffer from back pain at any time. That means they cannot complete a full and proper golf swing. As they fatigue due to injury during a round this golfers consistency fades too. Even worse is they may continually adjust their swing to accommodate their bodies weakness.
A consistent and reliable golf swing is impossible. You cannot produce a repeatable golf swing.
In fact you may cause yourself injury because you have poor physical conditioning to play golf.
Several steps are required to build and then maintain physical conditioning. Firstly, full assessment of your body and physiology, as well as looking at your address posture and your posture through your full swing.
This will determine what is needed to build balance and stability. This is required before you can even consider building strength and power to hit long and straight. Your current conditioning and restrictions may even be creating your hitting slices, hooks, hitting thin, fat or duffing the ball.
If you want to build a strong game, a solid, reliable and repeatable swing where you hit true to your line and be square at impact your body needs to be able to move that way. Your body is rotating in manner that uses virtually every muscle and joint in the body. Any restrictions means you cannot rotate properly to complete your swing or maintain timing, tempo, rhythm or your swing plane.
So check your body out. Look at your conditioning as an essential part of your golf game. It is as important as building your swing sequence, routines, and having the right golf clubs fitted to you. And, let’s not forget building a sound mental game as well. Your mind, body and swing work as an integrated whole.

Tips on Golfing – Excessive Head Movement Part One
Posted by: | CommentsThis article is part of a series of tips on golfing focusing on helping golfers to develop a good basic golf swing.
The majority of club golfers suffer from a lack of consistency within the game, by developing a good basic golf swing they can eliminate a number of symptoms of faults which affect high and made handicap golfers.
You may have noticed this fault of video, seeing it in your shadow, will be made aware of it by your fellow golfer. Whatever, trying to fix excessive head movement by consciously keeping your head rigid only results in tension, anxiety and the golf game that only gets worse.
It is important to remember that excessive head movement is generally the effect of poor body rotation, any discussion about head movement in the golf swing must also take into account the movement of the spine. The two, after all, are attached. If the spine angle you establish at address should change appreciably during the swing, you head position will obviously move in tandem with it, resulting in compensations having to be made in order to hit the ball solidly.
Head movement can be classified in any one, or any combination, of the following ways.
- From side to side,
- Up and down, and
- Towards and away from the ball to target line.
In a good swing you usually see a bit of side to side movement and, occasionally, a little evidence of up and down movement. A small amount of movement is, in fact, perfectly acceptable. Too much, however, can lead to fat or thin shots. Movement towards and away from the ball to target line is by far the most dangerous, whether that movement be forward them back or vice versa. Either way, your weight is rocking excessively towards your toes or heels, which affects your balance and can result in shots being struck off the toe or heel of the club.

Basically, a golf fitness book should cover the following four topics:
1. Strength specific golf exercises

Hot tip on how to get rid of your slice
Posted by: | CommentsChances are that you have battled with a slice at some point in your golfing days. To be completely direct with you, dealing with a slice really sucks. It hurts your golf game in many more ways than one.
Luckily, it’s fairly easy to fix. I cannot claim that this small tip will completely cure your slice, but there’s a good chance that it will, and I hope it does.
When you come into the impact zone, there are really only 2 factors that can determine the “shape” of ball flight.
1. The angle of the club face at impact.
2. The Path the club is taking at impact.
You’d agree, that’s really not that tough to understand. The tough part is explaining how to correct it, and keeping this e-mail short at the same time.
Anyway, here’s a few things your should concentrate on.
Try to keep your leading shoulder “down” on the ball through impact. This is called staying strong through impact. Lots of times the leading shoulder (left shoulder if right handed) flies up before impact. Now just for a minute, think about what that does to the club head when it’s in the impact zone.
Golf is all about thinking and analyzing your shots to get better. A huge part of this game is understanding “why” you’re getting a certain result, and the physics behind that result. Thinking through your golf swing will provide huge dividends if you’re willing to invest the time it takes.
Get up from the computer and actually go though the motions slowly. Let your leading shoulder fly up as you approach impact and you’ll actually be able feel and see the clubface coming from an outside-in path. That causes a slice every time.
So what can you do to correct it? Well, for starters, try to learn to keep your leading shoulder strong. Keep that shoulder “down” on the ball all the way through impact, even after the ball is gone and flying straight down the fairway. Here’s an illustration of what I’m talking about.
As you can see, the leading shoulder is still down. The triangle is still there. Most importantly, my body has NOT gotten ahead of my hands. This is a HUGE distinction. As you may notice, the left shoulder is actually higher than the right shoulder. So what do I mean when I say “leading shoulder down”?
You have to envision yourself from the back looking down on the ball. When I say “down”, I mean that the leading shoulder and chest are still facing the ball through impact.
So even though it may seem like the leading shoulder is higher than the trailing shoulder, it’s still facing the ball at impact. NOT TOWARDS THIRD BASE in comparison to the ball. That would mean that you have let the leading shoulder fly up.
Hand action is huge in this game. You must learn to release your hands correctly through the ball. Meaning that you release the hands while the leading shoulder is still “down”, or facing the ball.
If you are currently playing with the conventional swing method, it’s really easy to let your body get ahead of the ball. One of the many things you will learn in “The Simple Golf Swing” is how to avoid that trap.
Keep the leading shoulder down and let your arms and hands release through the ball and you will see the ball go farther and higher. This will take a while to get used to.
The key is to let your arms release through the ball, while your left shoulder is “Down” on the ball. To do this you will need to rotate your forearms correctly, and use your leading ELBOW (not shoulder) as a hinge. So another way to explain this movement would be that your hands are still moving towards the target, but your leading elbow has almost stopped.
Another one would be to initiate the downswing with your arms. I’m sure that’s the exact opposite of what you’ve heard before. Starting the downswing with the arms is a tough thing to do.
You want the ball to go the maximum possible distance. So subconsciously, many people have the problem of letting their body get way ahead of their hands. That’s the number one slice-producing move among golfers today. It’s probably the toughest one to fix, because when you’re at the top of your backswing, all you can think about is crushing the ball.
